Beginner Level

This course is, as the name suggests, all about drums. It provides a rock-solid foundation for anyone getting started with the drum kit.

Whether your musical tastes lean towards rock, jazz, blues, gospel, funk, or any other genre of music – the skills you’ll learn in this course will set you up for success in any style of drumming.

The course will lay the foundations for all the major topics in drumming; from building a groove, to understanding eighth and sixteenth notes, to playing fills, and how to develop rock grooves.

Each section is supported by additional material provided by your tutor during your face-to-face lessons.

Course level: Beginner

At Beginner level, learners will gain an introduction to the drums, working through the fundamental concepts and skills. Lessons are guided by the tutor, but will be tailored to the individual learner’s tastes, level of technical skill, and how the content relates to real musical situations.
